Abstract

In the wait for its public opening, the Villa Farnesina in Rome opened its doors virtually from May, 6th, so that anyone can enjoy, through a new interactive system, one of the most prominent masterpieces by Raphael di Sanzio. The Logia was Agostino Chigi's residency, a well-known banker and Raphael's client, and through a digital version it is now accessible to the public, thanks to a scientific project conceived by Accademia dei Lincei member, Antonio Sgamellotti, the Villa Farnesina's conservator, Virginia Lapenta, and developed in collaboration with Eliana Siotto and Gianpaolo Palma, from the Visual Computer Laboratory ISTI-CNR.
