RE-Imagi(n)ando Leviatán

Resumen

   A lo largo de los años, los especialistas en Hobbes han dedicado gran atención a descifrar la imagen producida para el Leviathan por Abra­ham Bosse con las indicaciones creativas de Thomas Hobbes. En cam­bio, este artículo se enfoca en la recepción y reinvención de esta imagen, posiblemente la más icónica dentro del imaginario estatal. La atención se dirige aquí, en particular, a dos obras de arte contemporáneas: Some/ One (2005) de Do-Ho Suh y Leviathan Thot (2006) de Ernesto Neto. Ambas obras recuerdan visualmente y reproblematizan el frontispicio de Hobbes: su escenificación del cuerpo político y las complejas relacio­nes entre los elementos que lo componen. Por lo tanto, nos ofrecen una curiosa perspectiva desde la cual volver a involucrarnos con la obra de Hobbes y la estética política que la ha inmortalizado.
