Abstract

The article shows how Clausewitz´s theory of war –in particular the issue of the popular uprising– is inserted into the development of the historical and political conditions characterized by a simultaneous process of the consolidation of State as principle of intelligibility of the political and the creation of a national space. This process will give certain specificity and meaning to modern politics: as a rationality which aims the strategic conduction of the people.
